Merry Christmas!

WA House & job update: The process continues to be excrutiatingly slow. The Portland IHS office Area Director, who has to sign and approve the MOA, is away until Friday. The tribe's attorney, who has to review the MOA once the tribe finally receives it from Portland, will be out of the office until January 7 (wish Papaya Daddy could take vacations that long)! Orders won't be cut until the MOA is signed by the tribe, and we can't get financing approved for our house until the bank sees Papaya Daddy's orders.

So we've asked the sellers to push the closing date back to February 27. We are hoping and praying they agree to this. Then, we can settle down to wait some more for certainty. Woo-hoo!!!
Meanwhile, it's snowing outside & feeling somewhat like Christmas. It's supposed to snow significantly tonight, which is both fun & makes me stressed out about driving to town tomorrow to spend the night & catch our early morning flight on Friday. I have a feeling that reservation roads may not be top priority for plowing & salting.

We've been able to fit in some fun Christmas activities (and only a little bit of school). We had great fun making & decorating cookies with the gift from Aunty P & Uncle AJ!
There is actually some cookie beneath all that frosting & sprinkles!

This morning, the girls decided to get dressed up in their beautiful Christmas dresses, also gifts from said aunt & uncle. They both enjoyed the experience (the Portabella loved playing with the tulle on her dress, and the Banana loves getting dressed up) and looked lovely. In fact, it's difficult to choose just one picture to post, so here you are with multiple views!
